Now here's some real hairy laws: In Oklahoma females are forbidden from doing their own hair without being licensed by
the state. (I didn't know beauticians had that kind of lobby. But maybe it's
chauvinists.) In Wisconsin it is illegal to cut a woman's hair. (It's chauvinists.)
In Michigan
A woman isn't allowed to cut her own hair without her husband's
permission. (definitely chauvinists.)
In Florida women may be fined for falling asleep under a hair dryer, as can the salon
owner. (malpractice?) And in Arkansas a law provides that school teachers who bob their hair will not get a
raise. (talk about chauvinists!)
In Texas it is illegal for children to have unusual haircuts.
(Now I've been to Texas, I saw a lot of kids in violation of this law....
unless those haircuts are not so unusual in Texas)
